The world is watching with trepidation the long-anticipated Saturn and Pluto conjunction at 22 degrees of Capricorn which completes today, 12 January.

Once every 33-38 years these two heavy giants meet in a perfect line. Today they are also parallel by declination, which makes this union super powerful.

Saturn, the planet of hard work, structure and our achievements, meets the Lord of the Underworld, Pluto. Pluto loves being hidden, searching for the ultimate truth and it doesn’t matter what it destroys in order to reach its goal. In the sign of Capricorn, both planets are trying to start something new (cardinal archetype). Pluto demolishes old and obsolete structures and forms that are no longer of use to us and builds, transforms a life, society (Saturn) that we can work hard for and be proud of (Saturn). There is a pitfall, in the past this powerful conjunction sparked wars among nations, and this time is no different. Currently, tensions are high, and Australia is burning (Pluto).

We always have a choice. Let us use this powerful house wisely and responsibly and bit by bit we shall see a clear picture of what we are becoming.

I would like to dedicate this post to my son, whose brave soul has chosen this date, 12th of January to be a big part of his lifetime.

I wish all fellow Capricorns who celebrate today on this Saturn and Pluto conjunction a peaceful transition and best of luck on your journey.
