“We are in the glow of a full moon in Virgo, reaching its culmination early in the afternoon. The sun is approaching a conjunction with Saturn in Pisces, simultaneously opposing the moon in Virgo. Additionally, Mercury in Pisces is nearing a conjunction with the sun, having already passed the opposition with the moon. Yesterday, the sun also had its annual encounter with one of the royal fixed stars, Fomalhaut. This reddish star currently resides at 3°52′ of Pisces, at the mouth of the Southern Fish, and during the full moon, the sun is already at 5 degrees of Pisces, forming a wide conjunction. This alignment suggests an influence of heightened intuition and is associated with magic, spirituality, and other dimensions.
The Pisces season is in full swing with this lunar event. We stand at the crossroads between the expansiveness of Pisces (where anything is possible) and the grounded nature of Virgo, calling for the realization of ideas and visions felt through the influence of Pisces. It’s not enough to rely solely on imagination and fantasy in our minds; action is required for concrete results. This is underscored by Saturn in Pisces, which will touch the sun at the end of the month. Saturn aims to “trim down” the fantastical aspect of Pisces, preventing it from escaping the harsh realities of the world when conditions on Earth become challenging. Pisces may want to skip the long journey Saturn imposes, but Saturn always emphasizes that progress requires effort.
It’s possible that, with the diligent Virgo energy, we may become overly focused on details where a broader picture (Pisces) is needed, and where we just need to be (Pisces). The first spring cleaning of our homes and surroundings may also be a result of this full moon.
In the background of this lunation, since Monday (19th February), a conjunction between the asteroid Chiron (representing our wounds and healing power) and the North Lunar Node in Aries has been occurring. We may subtly feel the aspect of our original wounds (Aries) and how this woundedness plays out collectively, especially our ego’s desire for immediate gratification (Aries). With knowledge of our birth chart, everyone can see which area this collective woundedness (Chiron/North Node) falls into and become aware of this healing aspect.
In the astrological chart of Slovenia, a grand cardinal cross is formed between angular points, the lunar node, and Chiron. Neptune is high above the horizon (MC). Healthcare is indeed our significant wound. The cardinal principle indicates changes, but with elusive Neptune, which clouds and inflates situations, a straightforward decision doesn’t appear likely.
A full moon is always the culmination, the peak of the lunar developmental cycle that began with the new moon in early February. Something that sprouted at the beginning of the month will now reach a conclusion, take shape. The full moon is not just an intense period; for some, it’s also a time of celebration, although the moon in Virgo isn’t particularly conducive to relaxed social gatherings. It is more inclined towards assimilating energy, paying attention to the body, and digesting our thoughts and food.
This is also the last lunation before the season of spring eclipses. The next full moon will be in the form of an annular lunar eclipse in Aries on March 25th. An exciting spring awaits us, as on April 8th, there will be a total lunar eclipse in Aries and the return of the grand conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus after 14 years, with the last one occurring in 2010/11.
Let’s gather our strength to navigate more easily as the eclipse season is about to open soon.”
