The Taurus season has barely begun, and already we’re facing a powerful alignment of two exceptional planets, Jupiter and Uranus.
Natural laws teach us that we are all part of cycles of creation, which periodically repeat themselves over short or long periods, depending on their revolutionary path around the Sun. Planets follow this natural rhythm; some have long cycles (Saturn and Pluto meet every 33-38 years), while others have shorter ones.
Tomorrow marks the completion of a great conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus, which recurs every 14 years. Their last conjunction was in June 2010 and occurred twice more, through Pisces, Aries, and finally in Pisces again in early January 2011 (simultaneously during a partial solar eclipse in Capricorn!). Now, this conjunction takes place at 21°49′ Taurus. While we previously concluded and simultaneously commenced (Pisces and Aries), now in Taurus, we consolidate, gather, and give tangible, material results to all of this (Taurus).
Fundamentally, Jupiter and Uranus are somewhat similar. Both bring about events that are significant and far-reaching for our future. Something profoundly shifts and changes within us. Jupiter represents the expansion of our spirit, adding a touch of something grand, extraordinary (hence the synonym for abundance, enrichment), while Uranus adds to this with its uniqueness, lightning-fast speed, sometimes even something that abruptly severs from our lives.
Jupiter supports Uranus’s innovativeness and its electrically new and crazy ideas, expanding our understanding, which is also Jupiter’s nature. New information in all fields of technology and science will come to the forefront. New discoveries with this conjunction are entirely possible!
The alignment occurs in Taurus, which also adjusts the language through which the planets will express themselves. Jupiter through Taurus is established through its slow rhythm into the world of pleasures of all kinds, especially food and everything that satisfies our need for survival, existence, and relationship to the earth. Let’s not forget about the financial aspect, as our material survival also depends on it.
Uranus finds its lowest point in Taurus, which is unfavorable for it, as its characteristics are diminished, and it lacks as much power as it could have in another sign. For Uranus, the first voice is always radical and rapid change, so it will still cause chaos, even discord in the realm of our personal values. It will shake the financial world, trading, and food supplies, highlighting how we deal with natural resources, minerals. The green energy, which is so praised, will be refreshed, finding new ideas and discoveries, discarding everything else that is unimportant. Uranus does not look back at the old and comfortable; it wants the new and constant progress in development. Therefore, Taurus does not suit it so well, as Taurus loves comfort zone and what lasts and represents some stability and solidity.
Nevertheless, there is still some tension in the air because this conjunction leaves behind a strong solar eclipse in Aries, precisely at the significant 19th degree of the Zodiac. During the conjunction, Venus is at the degree of the eclipse, which, considering it is in Aries, revives the themes of the solar eclipse. Venus in Aries is combative, bold, and uncompromising. In its essence, it carries a touch of revolution, rebellion!
The last time Jupiter and Uranus met in the sign of Taurus (at 25° 38′) was in May 1941, and we all know the circumstances of that time. Similarly, now we have global military conflicts, and we just hope they do not escalate when individually Jupiter and Uranus reach the point of the star Algol at 26° Taurus. Algol is known for its brutal nature of violence, murders, and bloodshed.
If I began with natural cycles, it’s good to continue where the next great conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus will occur. This will be between 2037 and 2038 in the sign of cardinal Cancer. Everything we plant now in Taurus will sprout in Cancer and will take on some shape and form at that time. It will become part of our family and foundation.
All of us who have important angular points and planets at 21° of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) will feel this conjunction particularly. The orb of effect is also between 18 and 24 degrees, so we cannot escape this strong energy.
On a global scale, we will feel this conjunction throughout the first week of May, and I hope that this conjunction brings as many new insights, guidelines for our personal growth, new discoveries, and expansion of the mind as possible. Since it’s in the sign of Taurus, let’s also indulge ourselves and offer our bodies care to connect with all our senses.
The Sabian symbol for the degree of the conjunction is a white dove over troubled waters. The body part it rules is our tongue. Let’s be symbols of peace and use the right words when faced with the turbulent challenges of life.
